“We are in front of a global scandal of around one billion—one billion people who still suffer from hunger today,” declared Pope Francis on December 9, 2013. “We cannot look the other way and pretend this does not exist. The food available in the world is enough to feed everyone.”
With enough food to go around, what the world needs now are people willing to make the time and effort to help nourish the hungry.
Always wanted to volunteer to a soup kitchen but don’t know where to go? Check out these three non-profits that welcome your help to further their cause of feeding the poor.
Besides their mutual love for travel, team members Krisna Buds Delfin, Karen Nifled Azlise, and Nadine Aquino-Delos Santos share a mutual love for charity work. The trio’s trips have since become more meaningful when they made a tradition of sharing food and basic necessities to communities in need.

Feeding Change Philippines (FCP)
“I started volunteering for FCP when one of its core officers invited me to join the Payatas Outreach Program,” wrote Kaye Aye Cortuna on FCP’s Facebook page. “From then on, I started to become an active volunteer. I participated in different programs like visiting home for the aged, giving help to less fortunate kids, beach cleanups and helping local communities. I already joined 5 FCP outreach programs and looking forward for more.”
Want to be an FCP volunteer like Kaye? You can reach the organization via mobile at (0926) 169-1011 or email at email@example.com. As FCP likes to say, “There is no Vol_nteer without U!”
