Dear My Pope Magazine Team,

I’m a public school teacher and I collect My Pope magazine. I am inspired by your article on the Pope’s artist in the Vatican, so I started to paint the Holy Pope Francis. I have no training and have not attended workshops in painting— I only have a deep love for the arts and the popes.

As a public school teacher, I love my students like my own even though I’m still single at 56 years old this October 16 (2018)—the date when Pope John Paul II started his papacy (October 16, 1978). October is also World Teachers’ Month.

I sent my photos because I’m happy I made Pope Francis look happier in my work. My inspiration to paint is Ms. Natalia, the official painter for the popes in the Vatican. Siya po ang ginaya ko para iguhit ang Santo Papa Francesco. Maraming salamat po sa My Pope magazine team and God bless you all.

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Juanita D. Mendoza Bambang

We’re happy to have inspired you, Juanita!
